The secret of Maraş ice cream is hidden in the natural richness of the
Ahir Mountain which the town leans against
and in the mastership of ice cream making which is gained through patience.



Many centuries ago, a cool dessert came out mixing the snow layers in the
caves and hollows with the fruit grown on the sides of that mountain.

This dessert was named “karsambaç” at that time.



Afterwards, Karsambaç was developed with the milk of the goats raised on the Ahir Mountain
and finally miracle recipe was completed by adding sahlep,
the powders from the tubers of wild orchids.
